1. What type of photography do you offer?
I photograph all the beautiful stages of life, from growing families and maternity sessions to newborns, couples, motherhood and everything in between. I also offer weddings, seasonal minis and creative, styled sessions.
My goal is to capture genuine moments, real connections and all the little details that make your story yours.
2. Where are you located, and do you travel?
I offer sessions in my local area, with travel available to selected surrounding towns and locations. Depending on where your session takes place, a travel fee may apply at $0.80 per kilometre.

3. How do I book a session?
Booking is easy! You can enquire through my website or send me a message on social media. I’ll help you choose the right session and work out a date, location and any other details.
Once everything is organised, I’ll guide you through the booking process.
4. What should we wear to our session?
Don’t stress about outfits! I always recommend choosing clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Neutral colours, earthy tones, soft textures and coordinating outfits photograph beautifully.
If you’re stuck on what to wear, I’m always happy to help with ideas or inspiration. Pinterest can also be a great place to start!
5. Do you provide dresses for maternity sessions?
I have a small and growing collection of maternity dresses available for clients to use. My collection is still a work in progress, so if you have a particular style in mind, let me know before your session and we can work out the best option for you.
6. What happens if my baby arrives early or late?
Babies work on their own schedules, and I completely understand that! If you’ve booked a maternity or newborn session and your plans change, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can discuss availability and make adjustments where we can.
7. Do you pose us during our session?
I’ll guide you throughout your session, but I also love capturing the moments that happen naturally in between.
You don’t need to know how to pose or be confident in front of the camera. I’ll help you feel comfortable while we capture those genuine smiles, cuddles, connections and little in-between moments.
8. What if my children don’t cooperate?
Please don’t worry! Little ones are unpredictable, and that’s part of what makes photographing families so special.
There’s no expectation for your children to sit perfectly still or smile on command. We’ll take things at their pace, have a little fun and embrace the beautiful chaos that comes with family life.
9. How long until we receive our photos?
I work hard to deliver your gallery as soon as possible while giving each image the care and attention it deserves. Your delivery timeframe will depend on the type of session and my current workload, and I’ll keep you updated if there are any changes.
10. Can we choose our own location?
Absolutely! I love working with locations that mean something to you, whether that’s an open field, a beautiful sunset spot, a meaningful family location or somewhere you’ve found on Pinterest.
If you’re not sure where to go, I’m happy to help find a location that suits the look and feel you’re after.
11. Do you offer Christmas mini sessions?
Yes! I offer seasonal mini sessions throughout the year, including Christmas minis when available.
Christmas minis don’t have to be Christmas-themed, either. If you’d prefer a simple family session with beautiful natural images, we can often make that work depending on the session offered.

12. Do you photograph weddings?
Yes! I photograph weddings and love being able to document such a special chapter in a couple’s story.

13. Do you offer photography gift cards?
Yes! Photography gift cards are a beautiful way to gift someone memories they can treasure for years to come. They’re perfect for expecting parents, growing families, couples or anyone who would love a special session.

14. Can we order prints of our photographs?
Absolutely! I offer limited-edition fine art prints featuring photographs taken by Rowie Hawley Photography. These are available as made-to-order prints with framing options, perfect for displaying in your home or gifting to someone special.

15. What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
You’re definitely not alone! Most people tell me they feel a little awkward before their session, and that’s completely okay.
You don’t need to know what to do or how to pose. I’ll guide you along the way, and we’ll focus on connection rather than perfection. My favourite photographs are often the ones where you’re simply being yourselves.
16. Can we request a particular style or creative session?
Of course! I love hearing your ideas and seeing your inspiration. If you’ve saved images on Pinterest or have a vision for something a little different, send it through.

17. What happens if the weather is bad?
Outdoor sessions can be a little unpredictable, especially when we’re relying on beautiful natural light. If the weather isn’t suitable, we’ll discuss the best option, whether that’s rescheduling or making another arrangement.
